What is Detox Water?
It is simply water which is infused with a perfect combination of fruits, herbs and vegetables. The key to detox water is the choice of right combination of above ingredients. But, it is not mere combining things to infuse with water, it is more like a scientific blend of fruits, Vegetables, seeds, roots and legumes specifically chosen for being rich in fibres, vitamins, minerals & antioxidants that have detoxifying properties that helps your whole body to function better.
Why Detox?
Detoxification is commonly used in context to cleansing of the body as an alternative medicine. Detox water is any infused water recipe that helps flush your system of toxins and improves your health. Some detox water recipes have beneficial ingredients which help your body in some ways (like boost metabolism), but the main beneficial ingredient is water.
Detox drinks are great for cleansing the body of toxins along with boost for immune system and digestive juices, makes weakness/lethargy go away, prevent bloating/nausea, prevents mood swings & promotes skin health.

Detoxification or cleansing is a process that requires the infiltration of detoxifying liquid in the body so that the organs (like liver, Kidneys, lung tissue etc.) are benefited by its qualities and they can fulfill their task without being overloaded.

Can Detox water be Dangerous?
Detox water is not a health hazard unless there is intolerance or allergy to any specific ingredient, or the person has a specific condition. It should not be used as a meal substitute & its balance with the other diets is instrumental for better health outcomes.
How to drink Detox Water for best results?
For best results first of all we have to see the purpose for which we are drinking the Detox water like for weight loss it’s better to have it in the early morning & for mood swings it’s better to have it in the daytime. it is always better to have it cold or chilled, always drink Detox water in small ships and do not gulp it!!
How to Make Detox Water
Knowing the blend of ingredients is important…. Making one is not a big deal… For every detox water recipe below, the preparation steps are pretty much the same:
- Drop ingredients in the bottom of a detox jar or fruit infuser bottle.
- Cover with ice about 1/2 way through (Optional) then fill to top with water. Place in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
- You can refill the container 2-3 times before it begins to lose flavor.
What are the best ingredients and what are the effects?
The ingredients used in detox water can be in many types and combinations with proper quantities infused in water. Some of the examples are listed below:

Red colour fruits and vegetables: These are rich in substances that reduce
or help repair cell damage, they also have antioxidant properties that help reduce the risk of cancer he also protect body against heart diseases and help reducing blood pressure.
Orange or golden colour fruits and vegetables: These are valuable antioxidants and contain free radicals which slow down aging and improve eyesight. They also help fortifying the immune system and support the fat metabolism.
Green and especially dark green fruits and vegetables: They contain a lot of minerals more specifically magnesium and Calcium that helps improve bone mass and density. Most green fruits also help in maintenance of cholesterol levels and boost protein forming cells.
Purple and blue colour fruits:
They are high in antioxidants and contain vitamins which keep you healthy. The purple pigment in all of these fruits and vegetables contain flavonoids, including resveratrol, which can help decrease blood pressure. Resveratrol helps relax the arterial walls, decreases the pressure in the arteries and allows better circulation. Produce with purple hues contain a variety of polyphenols that can reduce the inflammatory response in the body.
